The Aloha Editor is an Open Source project built around the idea of creating a rich-text content creator for the open web.

Between June 6 and 7, the Aloha Editor community is holding a barcamp for professionals and enthusiasts to explore topics in advanced web development, with a focus on WYSIWYG editing.

This is an opportunity to learn new techniques, tools, and technologies from people who really know their stuff, and are developing exciting new applications and services on the web.

Come join us in the center of the historic and beautiful city of Vienna ... it's free!

The BarCamp format emphasises human interaction and attendee participation.

The sessions will be loosely themed around WYSIWYG editing technology and content creation on the web, but the topics and sessions will be up to the attendees, and can range from discussions and demos to tutorials and hacking sessions.

Presenters may nominate themselves from among the attendees to hold a 40 minute session that would include time for presenting or demonstrating an idea/technique/technology, and time for questions and answers from the other attendees.

Impromptu talks, and pre-prepared presentations with slides are both welcomed.

If you are working with WYSIWYG editors or with web technology in general you should really come and give a talk about what you're doing.

The barcamp is open to all who are interested in advanced web technologies ... and did we mention it's free?
